Kemp IT Law Breakfast Seminar: Successfully Managing the Legal Issues of AI Adoption

Kemp IT Law is hosting a breakfast seminar on Wednesday 9th November.

Artificial Intelligence in the Mainstream: Successfully Managing the Legal Issues of AI Adoption
Date and Time: 09.00 – 10.30, Wednesday 09 November 2016
Place: London Capital Club, 15 Abchurch Lane, London EC4N 7BW

From next-gen PDAs to legal due diligence to autonomous taxis to Watson, the last few months have seen the start of adoption at scale of Artificial Intelligence (AI). But this is only the beginning: AI applications will impact all our work and personal lives increasingly quickly, increasingly radically.

AI contracts and regulatory questions are now starting to cross lawyers’ desks more frequently. In this seminar we will examine the legal issues of AI adoption:

  • What should we be expecting from our clients in terms of AI adoption?
  • What are the new practical legal issues that AI raises?
  • What are the key points to watch out for when your business is developing, selling or procuring commercial AI-based solutions?

From 1 November 2016, the CPD points scheme has been replaced by the new Competency Statement and our seminar counts under the new arrangements. You can find out more on The Law Society website here.

We are delighted to welcome leading cognitive computing expert Tim Harty, Global Head of Actionable Intelligence at Thomson Reuters to give his up to the minute take on where we are now and what we can expect from artificial intelligence.  Kemp IT Law’s Richard Kemp and Deirdre Moynihan will explore the novel legal issues that AI raises and provide practical guidance on how to successfully manage the key legal challenges of AI adoption.

The event is at the London Capital Club, close to Bank in the City. Attendees will have an opportunity to network at breakfast and coffee. We aim to get everyone away by 10.30 so as not to take up too much of your day.
